My Hood, a series of paintings and drawings of cityscapes inspired by the collection of architecture in downtown Long Beach. The interplay of historic, mid century and contemporary structures creates unusual and unique compositions. I try to capture an impression of a particular collection or street view, extreme SoCal light conditions, and skewed perspectives.
